Poultry has become one of the fastest growing parts of life at Fallen Timbers Farm. From colorful egg baskets to newly hatched chicks and the occasional muddy duck puddle, our birds bring a lot of activity — and personality — to the farm.
We raise a variety of poultry including chickens, ducks, quail, turkeys, and emus. Our flocks are made up of both production birds and heritage breeds selected for hardiness, temperament, egg production, and the unique variety they add to the farm.
Fresh eggs are available seasonally from several species across the farm, including chicken, duck, quail, and eventually emu eggs as our younger birds mature. Egg colors, sizes, and availability change throughout the year depending on the season and what our flocks are producing at the time. You can find our eggs at fallentimbersfarm.com/product-category/eggs/
Coturnix quail are an especially important part of our poultry program. In addition to eggs and hatching eggs, we also offer processed quail as part of our farm food program. Our goal is to raise practical, sustainable poultry that contributes both to the farm and to the local community.
Our duck flocks include a mix of breeds and colors that spend their days foraging, splashing in muddy puddles, and helping keep the farm full of life. We’re also growing a flock of heritage turkeys, including Blue Slate, Fall Fire, SweetGrass, and colorful heritage mixes selected for their beauty, hardiness, and farm-friendly temperaments.
Maverick the emu oversees the poultry yard alongside younger emus Rooster and Phoenix, who are quickly growing into personalities of their own. As they mature, we hope to eventually hatch emu chicks right here on the farm as well.
Like everything else at Fallen Timbers Farm, our poultry program continues to grow and evolve with each season. From fresh eggs and hatchlings to future breeding plans and farm stand offerings, there’s always something new happening around the poultry yard.
We regularly have quail chicks available & occasionally have other poultry for sale as well. Find our available poultry at https://fallentimbersfarm.com/livestock-for-sale/

FTF’s Jackson
Our first emus were an impulse buy honestly but I completely fell in love with these unique, dinosaur like birds. We’ve now got a 2 year old male named Maverick & recently added a female chick named Phoenix & an additional male chick named Rooster. We hope to have emu eggs & chicks in the future.
