Our Rabbits

Our breeding rabbits are listed below. These rabbits are generally NOT for sale but if we have plans to let them go that will be specified below their photo.

I have raised Holland lop rabbits in northeast Oklahoma for over 20 years. I got my first rabbit in 1996 & have had them almost non stop since then. In that time, I’ve had 27 different breeds of rabbits & Hollands are by far my favorite breed for pets. They’re the smallest lop eared breed & the only dwarf lop eared breed. Many folks believe that mini lops are the smallest due to the name but they are actually about twice the size of Hollands. At maturity, Holland lops are generally 2.5-4 pounds. They’re low maintenance compared to other popular small breeds like lionheads & teddywidders who need frequent grooming & much calmer than the mini rex or Netherland dwarf breeds. I personally prefer bucks as pets because they seem to be a bit more affectionate but the does can be very sweet too! All of our rabbits have excellent temperaments. Hollands should be friendly & we won’t keep one with a bad temperament for our breeding program. Sometimes our mommas are a little bit territorial of their new babies but that’s acceptable to us, we will never fault a momma for taking care of her babies!

We recently took in a trio of Netherland Dwarfs from a friend that needed to place their rabbits. These 3 are sweet for their breed so we’ve decided to hold on to them for a little bit & see how their babies turn out. Check our Rabbits for Sale page to see if we have any of their babies available.

We also added a quad of New Zealand rabbits to the farm this spring. This is a farm where the animals are not only here for companionship, many provide for our family. The more we get into a homestead lifestyle the more that is true & these rabbits were purchased to help us become more self sufficient with our food sources. My mom suffers from Alpha-gal syndrome so rabbit is a good option for her since she can’t eat red meat, pork, venison, etc. & being able to offer her something to diversify her diet is an added bonus. Our breeding quad is pictured below & they are very spoiled and loved. They’re quite friendly & are our only rabbits that live in a colony setting. While their babies are bred for a purpose, they will always be treated with love & respect while they are on our farm, right down to the last moment. We do plan to offer some babies for sale as well as processed whole rabbit in the future.
